Here’s a great beat to get you started.
There are 4 Hi-hats played with the Right hand if you are Right handed. Or with the Left if you’re Left handed. Whichever hand you use it stay for all 4 of the Hi-hats
We add a Bass drum played with the first Hi-hat, we play this with the Right foot or Left foot depending on whether you’re Right or Left footed.
Then we bring in a Snare drum being played with the 3rd Hi-hat in the pattern. You’ll use the opposite hand to the one you’re using to play the Hi-hat.
For the 1st and 3rd Hi-hat it’s important to make sure the Bass or Snare are playing at the exact same time as the Hi-hat.
There are many ways to go about keeping track of where you are and what comes next. A few common ways you can try:
1, 2, 3, 4
